The Center Support Boom

diagram

There are two options for the center support boom. If you are using heavier stock paper, you can put together the paper center support boom piece. You would put this together like the sunshield spreader bars. Score, and then fold each piece lengthwise along each of these long, white dotted lines. Glue and fold the small black flap at the top down, to close the end of the tube like a box. The boom would then be inserted into the holes that you cute in the layers of the sunshield.

Alternatively, you can simply use a pencil for the support boom - you'll insert it the same way you would the paper support boom.
